We’re the guardians of Clarks’ corporate reputation. Managing relationships with the media, governments and trade bodies. And dealing with all aspects of PR that don’t involve promoting our products. We’re also the team who keep our people up-to-date and engaged with the business. It’s about thinking on your feet, adapting to fast-changing situations and keeping in touch with every part of Clarks.
Consumer Experience
We’ve built nearly 200 years of heritage on giving our customers great products and an outstanding experience. So, when something doesn’t work quite right and they need to contact us, they call our experienced customer care team. It’s about understanding our consumers and finding the best possible solution. But it’s also about listening and talking to them, really understanding what makes them tick, and using the insights to advise the business on how to improve the way we do things.
Finance
With annual global sales of more than £1bn, Clarks is an established global business. But as we continue to explore new markets and grow our business, we still have the passion and entrepreneurial spirit of a start-up. And in Finance, we’re at the sharp end. Acting as true business partners. Defining and implementing commercial strategies based on knowledge and data, to boost sustainable growth. Health, Safety and Wellbeing
Our work’s all about creating healthy and safe spaces for Clarks colleagues, visitors and contractors across the globe. That means advising on how to keep our stores, offices and logistics operations safe and compliant. It means helping to increase productivity by keeping our people healthier, happier and motivated. And it means using global systems to log incidents, manage audits and inspections, and assess risk across the business. In short, it means working with different Clarks teams to look after our people and ensure business success.
Legal and Compliance
With team members in the UK, US and China, we’re the team that tries to ensure Clarks meets all the different legal and regulatory requirements impacting upon it around the world. That means supporting regional teams, creating and administering relevant policies and processes and getting involved in almost everything the group does. Retail Operations
When someone working in one of our stores has a question, we’re the ones with the answer. It could be about anything from a leak in the washroom to a pigeon in the store. From a store refit, to the communications promoting our latest range. It’s about understanding stores, learning fast, and being ready for anything. We need to ask the right questions, think on our feet, and find the relevant process to deal with the issue – so the store can continue to move forward with confidence.
Sustainability
We’re the conscience of Clarks – continually striving to be more sustainable and responsible. Looking at our environmental footprint, measuring and reducing our environmental footprint across all of our global operations , and how we report them. Assessing how sustainable our products are and developing roadmaps to make them better. Auditing our suppliers on how they treat their people. Coming up with ways to reuse, recycle, and resell our shoes. And working with global charity partners such as MiracleFeet to launch new community initiatives. It’s about working with every business area, country, team and global supplier. To ensure we’re continually reducing our impacts, and unlocking new opportunities, now and for the world ahead.
Technology
Technology plays a crucial role in shaping Clarks' future. We implement, improve, and maintain systems that drive our business forward. This includes everything from the applications that manage our global operations to our point-of-sale. We also use technology throughout Clarks for data analysis and to provide a seamless shopping experience across physical stores, online, and in virtual spaces like the Metaverse.
